At Curalux, your satisfaction is our priority. This policy is drafted in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), which gives South African consumers the right to return goods and receive refunds under certain conditions.

1. Your Rights Under the Consumer Protection Act

Under Section 56 of the CPA, you have the right to return goods and receive a full refund, replacement, or repair if the goods are:

  • Defective or unsafe
  • Not of good quality
  • Not fit for the purpose they were intended
  • Not as described or advertised

This right applies within 6 months of purchase.

2. General Returns (Change of Mind)

We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery, provided the item is:

  • Unused and in its original condition
  • In its original packaging with all tags and accessories
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Please note: certain items such as personalised products, perishables, or hygiene-sensitive goods may not be eligible for change-of-mind returns.

3. How to Initiate a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us via our website's contact page or email us with your order number and reason for return. We will respond within 2 business days with return instructions.

4. Return Shipping Costs

  • Defective or incorrect items: Curalux will cover the return shipping cost.
  • Change-of-mind returns: The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

5. Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to your original payment method. Please note that your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect the refund.

6. Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item, please follow the return process and place a new order for the desired item.

7. Non-Returnable Items

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable or digital products
  • Items marked as final sale
  • Personalised or custom-made items
